The Air Waybill is more commonly known as your FedEx shipping label or tracking number; It contains all of the package information as well as its barcoding and the 12 digit number used to track your shipment. The AWB prefix 023 specifically identifies FedEx Express as the operating carrier, ensuring proper routing through their global hub-and-spoke network. The 7-digit serial number uniquely identifies your shipment, followed by a check digit calculated as the serial number divided by 7 with the remainder used as validation.
