Everts Air Cargo Cargo Tracking

Everts Air Cargo was formed in 1995 as a 121 Certificated Cargo Airline and is a regional freight specialist serving 13 major hubs in Alaska with operations extending to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Since Northern Air Cargo abandoned their regular service with the Douglas DC-6, Everts Air Cargo is the last airline in the United States to operate scheduled flights with a rather large fleet of 60-year-old piston-powered aircraft. Everts Air Cargo was the launch customer for the first freighter conversion of an MD-80, receiving the first conversion in the spring of 2013 from Miami, Florida-based Aeronautical Engineers (AEI).

The AWB prefix 029 identifies Everts Air Cargo as the issuing airline and ensures proper routing of shipments to their cargo hubs in Anchorage and Fairbanks. The 7-digit serial number is the unique shipment identifier assigned sequentially by Everts. The final digit is a check digit calculated using mod-7 arithmetic: divide the 7-digit serial by 7, and the remainder becomes the check digit. However, note that Everts currently uses their own tracking format beginning with 840 rather than the standard IATA 029 prefix on their customer-facing systems.

Everts Air Cargo transports live animals under the IATA Live Animals Regulations (LAR), which govern container, ventilation, and species-specific handling requirements for livestock, day-old chicks, zoo animals, household pets, and laboratory animals. Bookings require species-specific documentation and approved containers; book through the cargo team with at least 48 hours notice.

Everts accommodates oversized freight with a variety of aircraft, with maximum dimensions of 17 feet length and 68 inches height. The carrier handles perishables including meat, game meat, fish, fresh fruit and vegetables.
