EgyptAir Cargo, established in 2002 as the cargo division of the Egyptian national airline EgyptAir, operates both dedicated freighters and belly cargo capacity across its passenger network. The AWB prefix 077 uniquely identifies EgyptAir Cargo and ensures your shipment is routed correctly through their network and handling systems worldwide. The 7-digit serial number following the prefix is the unique shipment identifier assigned by EgyptAir Cargo. The final digit is a check digit calculated using the mod-7 system: divide the 7-digit serial number by 7 and use only the remainder (0-6) as the check digit to validate the AWB number's authenticity.

EgyptAir transports live animals under the IATA Live Animals Regulations (LAR), which govern container, ventilation, and species-specific handling requirements for livestock, day-old chicks, zoo animals, household pets, and laboratory animals. Bookings require species-specific documentation and approved containers; book through the cargo team with at least 48 hours notice.
